What is the trend that is the focus of each story? Story #1 is about how texting has replaced face to face communication for a number of American families. Story #2 reveals how libraries are becoming sanctuaries for the homeless. Which story appealed to you more and why? Story #2 appealed to me more because it concerns an urgent social crisis that's too often ignored by most people. It educates readers about the plight of the homeless and hopefully forces them to consider the severity of the situation from all possible angles. What is your favorite quote from each story? Story #1: “I would rather have that human face-to-face contact. Or maybe not. Maybe it’s easier this way.” Story #2: "It’s kind of scary to be near shirtless people."
